On the Huh - is a free podcast taking a look at what is happening in the Norwich/Norfolk Indie and Alternative music scene in 2024.
On the podcast, I’ll be talking to local bands about all sorts of things, from how they met and came about and their influences as well as scrapes and anecdotes from along the way. I’ll explore their first ever gigs they went to, the best gigs they’ve seen, the last and next ones they went to and so on.
I’ll also be talking to people who put on gigs and events to get to the bottom of how it all works, things like who picks the running order, band beef, strange riders, who gets paid and how is that worked out ? and all the other stuff you take for granted when you just turn up and jump around.
On top of all that, we’ll call out new releases and upcoming shows by local bands and artists that might float your boat but also having a look back at some of the brilliant local bands from the 90’s and 2000’s with people who were there and hopefully in them and we’ll hopefully have some very special guests popping up along the way.

I’m Tim Andrews, I’m getting on a bit now but I have been watching bands in and around Norwich for decades and I decided to start this podcast having been really impressed by a new wave of tip top new bands that have arrived on the scene over the last few years with a view to giving them a bit of exposure.
